I've only ever heard of this place and decided to try it with some friends from LA. We went during dinner time on a Saturday, and for three people we didn't have to wait at all since the place was mostly empty. The restaurant is inside the Pacific Rim Center which also houses Joyale and Sushi Inc. as of this writing. To get here, there is a parking garage that's free but can be very tight for most cars to go through, so street parking is advised in this case. The interior has plenty of seating and is lit very well. As with most other hot pot restaurants nowadays, you order what you want through a tablet. You have a choice of several types of broths and many types of meats and veggies, and there's also a $3 sauce bar per person, which comes with some pretty unique cold desserts and a wide variety of sauces to choose from. For our visit, we got wagyu beef, lamb, meatballs, shrimp paste, fish balls, noodles, tofu skin, enoki mushrooms and others with a half-and-half soup base consisting of bone broth and tomato broth. You can ask for service and request the check via the order tablet. We had no problems getting and staying full, though I do prefer other places for hot pot around Chinatown due to the overall quality of our order.

Ambience. B Service. A Food. A Price. B Found in the Pacific Rim building in the international district outskirts. Has 2 hour free parking , so far. The garage is above the restaurant so go to 2nd floor in elevator. HOT POT - yes. You will cook your own raw meats and veggies y To your liking. Can only blame yourself if anything turns to mush or over boiled. Heh Very clean looking place. Host of young men to help lead to table and can help with tablet and explain what different foods and broths. Unfortunately, my server spoke English but couldn't really figure out how to describe the taste of the Chinese herbal broth. We ended up getting. 3 broths and paid $2 each for the chicken soup (bits of Chicken. On bone ) and spicy soup (I got medium and was way to spicy for me). I should have gotten pork broth. . Also added mushroom. The mushroom has mushrooms in it. Then had a Groupon I paid $9 for a $22.95 platter of ALL beef. There was lots of thin sliced beef and you have to cook everything. Yourself. You can call your server over by using the tablet. Or just raise your hand. It was my fault on the bill as they only reduced my meat platter from $22.95 to $7.50. But my Groupon should have taken off the full amount. Which I paid $9. READ your BILL! Still overall I am happy with service and food experience. Bathrooms could use better cleaning attendance. I shall return as I have another Groupon to use for next time.

This hot pot place is amazing. Meat quality was above my expectations. I've been a few times with my children, and the servers were very kind and helpful. We ordered beef and lamb combo, some meatballs, veggie combo, pork broth and chicken broth. My son doesn't like spicy (crazy, I know), but you have to choose the same spice level for all your broths, even if you get different broths. It would have been nice to get my broth a little spicier. We've been before and got the combos but it was so much food we couldn't finish. With the combos we had shrimp paste and fish balls. The shrimp paste was SO GOOD. More often than not, there was a party or wedding at the neighboring restaurant. This made it kind of fun to have hot pot and people watch. Their silent weapon here is their desserts. OH.MY.GOODNESS. The sweet buns with condense milk, the coconut blast things (I don't know the real name) just blasts hot gooey goodness into your Mouth. We tried their pumpkin something (again, I'm terrible at the names) pastry, and that changed my life. Also, the watermelon juice is a MUST. The hot pot is delicious, but the dessert... you will never forget.

Another solid hot pot spot! Good quality broth and meats. We didn't see the parking entrance for the Pacific Rim Center but if you can find it and park in there, do it! We opted for street parking and honestly it's not in a great area. We got the 3 split pot with their bone broth, tomato broth, and spicy broth. The spicy broth was honestly way spicier than we could handle. Service was attentive and friendly. Sauce bar was good. Overall, an authentic experience!
